Wood and Friction
Today in Mrs. Surace's class we started to wonder if wood would get warmer when there was friction. While we were testing our theory on the rug, we saw a piece of scrap paper and I was wondering if this might do the same thing as wood because paper was made out of wood. Some students in our class thought paper was made from leaves and were very surprised to find out that it actually comes from the tree itself. I looked up videos on how to make paper so that we would be able to better understand this. Here is a link to a video teaching us how to make paper from scrap paper. Maybe we should give it a try!?
